Picture of disk - This slide shows the aluminum disk mounted on the motor shaft. The motor itself is mounted on a rugged aluminum stand. The pink ellipses show the approximate footprints of the infrared beams on the disk mirror. The wedging of the mirror can be perceived by comparing the thickness of the right edge with the thickness of the top edge. The bare gold surface was replicated to 1/6 wave flatness.
